VICTOR HSIEH

Victor is from St. Louis, MO.

I produce artwork by painting, drawing and sculpting. My subject matter is a conditional analysis of social structures, while the work's recipe is based upon my interest in the layering of imagery to create both formal and psychological depth. Through my art I'm looking to encounter and probe the virtual flow binding human society to its habitat. I would like the viewer to identify with their psyche any number of components in my work. My collateral aim is to decipher levels of human interaction in a synchronous territory set to bear meaning on different levels of perception.

In response to those who see only excess twisting, I see in my work human development from the inception of material force, and a nonobjective account of social categories. I understand that the science depicted in my work isn't exact; broad developments can be traced, but intimate knowledge of all conditions is not possible.
