Not associating much with this crowd, I was curious to see what the kids are up to nowadays. Frankly, it seems to be not much.

The works you show seem to me to be quick, facile, all concept and no substance. I admit to longing for meticulous craftsmanship in art. It's totally missing here. I don't think there as much content either, as the artists pretend to. If I were young, as a gay person I don't think I would see much of myself expressed in these works. They seem to be straining for import and consequence without having anything actually to convey.
Angst is ok I guess, but when you're 16 17? Hormones alone should put some joy into your life. It seems totally absent from these works. Sure there's lots wrong with the world. Got any new ideas?
